Intellect 1400 cells (sometimes called IB1400) are 2/3A size Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) cells that are ideal for small electric gliders (like the Pulsar 2006) and for receiver packs. They are high current, fast discharge cells and as such are competitors to GP1300. They have slightly more capacity at 1400 mAh and are less expensive. The jury is still out on whether they are better than the GP1300 or not. A write up in Q&EFI magazine put the GP1300 slightly ahead on power, but many fliers think they achieve better performance with IB1400 cells. I am using both types in my Sky Sergio pulling 47A and climbing vertically - it's hard to tell the two brands apart. The advantage of these cells is the price - you can make up your own packs very economically - for packs of these cells already assembled, click this link. Specifications for the Intellect 1400:
