A revolutionary, high revving, geared outrunner motor! A new range of High Speed Outrunner Motor has been developed to have the best power to weight ratio in the world. After one year of intensive research and development, a new magnetic system called " NFS " (Noro Fabrice System) has been developed. The new system has many advantages. First it is based on the standard outrunner type motor, renowned for giving high torque. As Power = Torque X Speed, the only way to increase power is to increase RPM.  Before Cyclon and NFS, this was not possible, because an increase in rpm exceeded the controller’s capabilities; the processor was not able to compute fast enough for high revolutions with a 14 or 10 pole outrunner motor. Now it is possible with the new NFS system to make outrunner motors capable of up to 40,000 RPM, yet still giving the same torque as a 10,000 RPM outrunner motor.  For the same size and weight as a standard outrunner motor, the power is up to 2 times higher than the standard outrunner motor format.

Another innovation in this next generation of outrunner motors has been to add gearboxes; previously there was no advantage from a gearbox, but now that high speed outrunners are possible, a gearbox adds many benefits. The Cyclon Elite range all have gearboxes built in to the front housing creating amazing possibilities of combined power and torque for low weight.

The Punch is the second generation of this motor - larger magnets have been added to increase torque - this has added 1mm to the diameter of the motor and 3g to the weight - still with an incredible power-weight ratio. Also, the gear set has been modified to reduce noise and increase efficiency.

The Cyclon Elite Mini Punch has the best power to weight ratio in the World - ideal for gliders from 700g to 2.5kg, and props from 7x4 to 14x9.5" (what a range!).
