Heat shrink comes in all sizes, colours and weights – use heat shrink for insulating joints in radio cable and motor-battery cable as well as speed controllers and your nicad pack itself. For your nicad pack I recommend clear heat shrink. Then you can see what is going on with your cells; you can see if there is any leaking electrolyte, or you have any corrosion developing, or what type of cells you have in your pack. There is nothing worse than trying to work out what cells you have through opaque heat shrink!

DU-435 1/16" (1.5mm) Heat Shrink Tube for single fine cables (eg. one strand of a servo lead) - shrinks to 0.8mm - pack of 4 lengths 75mm long - $3.25
