Hyperion have released a range of new, second generation thin outrunner motors designed to fit in narrow glider fuselages. The long tapered nose provides easy fitting, and the total size and weight is very small - as is the price! The G part of the prefix indicates the glider intention, but these motors will fit many applications. The S part of the prefix indicates an increase in power - YOU CAN NOW HAVE MORE POWER IN A SMALL PACKAGE!

The GS2213 has a 13mm long armature, and is a suitable replacement for a Speed 400 or 480 brushed motor. It comes in two winds - 14 and 16 wind - these are slightly hotter than the first generation.

The GS2218 has an 18mm long armature, and is a suitable for higher performance aircraft. It comes in two winds - 10 and 12 wind - these are hotter than the first generation.

This is the one to use for the Aussie LEG glider competition - fit this motor to a light-weight thermal glider of 1.5-2.2m and go and catch thermals.
