Hyperion outrunner motors have established a good reputation in Australia. This Hong Kong based company has learned all its lessons from other manufacturers, and have used quality parts (mostly sourced from Japan) to make a range of robust, efficient and powerful motors. I can supply the whole Hyperion range and have summarised it below for your information.

The "name" of each motor contains a code for the size of the motor, and the number of winds in the armature (which influences the KV, the voltage range, the output power, and the possible applications).

The first two digits of the motor "name" are the diameter of the stator inside the motor (outside diameter will be slightly more - eg, the 30 series motors are 30mm stator diameter, but have an outside diameter of 37mm). This indicates size and therefore power.

The second two digits of the motor "name" represent the length of the stator (again, the actual outside length will be more - eg. the 3025 motor has a stator length of 25mm, but the total length including the tapered nose is 50mm). Longer motors generally are for more cells and are more torquey.

The two digits after the slash indicate the number of winds in the armature. Again, more winds are generally for more cells and less amps - less winds usually have thicker wire which carry more current and are "hotter". For example, the 3025/6 has 6 winds in the armature and is much hotter (for 6-9 cells). The 3025/10 is a "softer" wind and is for 9-12 cells.
