The Easy Star has been acclaimed all over the world as an exceptional model. This Elapor foam model (which means that it bounces) is an ideal trainer or fun machine. Because it bounces, and because it has the motor mounted up behind the wing in pusher configuration, it is almost indestructible - and I think it is great value. You get the 1.37m wingspan model, the motor and the prop for only $119! And it is a very quick assembly job. You can also search the web for a host of testimonials to this aircraft. One site carries on a dynamic survey of the best first plane for a new flier - and the Easy Star keeps coming out on top - see this site at:
http://plawner.net/3/1st_plane

Ian Pullar recommends the Easy Star - "I have helped about a dozen people learn to fly.  I only train people who have a decent plane – and a number have started with the Easy Star at my recommendation and have been EXTREEEEMLY happy with them.  The lack of power means they don’t do anything too quickly.  By the time you are frustrated with the lack of power, you are ready to move to another plane – or to put a brushless into it."

David Hipperson, who writes the electric column for the Aussie RCM magazine says:
"I still fly an Easy Star and love it. When I reviewed the kit for RCM News, I liked the aircraft so much that I promptly went out a bought another. Mine does have some differences such as ailerons, stiffened wing, larger rudder, vented nose, LiPo enabled ESC and runs off 3S Saphion cells. In this form it remains easy (and I do mean that) to fly but VERY agile and quite aerobatic. These mods will be subject of an item in the near future in my Flying Electrics column. You can however pass on my endorsement of this aircraft in standard form to anyone."
