Aero-naut Grob G109 kit

The fuselage is completely moulded in fibreglass with pushrods installed - see photo.

We are talking here about a super-scale model of 2.77m wingspan weighing in at about 3kg.

The wings are foam cores sheathed in obechi veneer, with the ailerons already hinged.

All of the detail is added with fibreglass, ABS and butyrate moulded parts supplied with the kit.

Recommended power is an Actro12-6 outrunner motor on 12-14 cells - or 4S-5S LiPo - swinging a 12x8" or 12.5x7.5"" prop. The Actro 12-6 is a 740 kV motor of 50mm diameter and 50mm length weighing 235g. Any similar motor could be substituted, for example a Scorpion 4020-12 with a Scorpion 90SB controller OR a Hyperion ZS4020/12 with a Hyperion 80A OPTO controller would be suitable.
