Back to Kits Main Page
The Skyline 17 is a 1.74m electric glider ideally suited to 400 sized motors. The kit quality is superb, and represents excellent value. If you are looking for your first aileron glider, this kit will suit you. As a small, lightweight glider for competition flying in light conditions, it will perform very well.

The wing is accurately constructed from balsa and ply. It comes beautifully covered in film with the ailerons hinged, the servo bays ready to receive micro servos and the servo cable installed.

The fuselage is one of the best little fibreglass jobs that I have seen. Pushrods are ready to be installed, and all the hardware comes in an accessory pack.

The lightweight construction means that this glider will perform with the best of them for 7-cell competitions when powered with one of the crop of brushless motors available now - the Cyclon Elite Mini would be ideal, coupled to GP-1100 cells. A Kontronic Fun geared 400 or 480 motor would also suit. For direct drive, one of the Mega motors would suit. If economy is an issue, a Speed 480 with MP-Jet gearbox would fly this aircraft very well.
