The Albatross offers you a completely assembled kit, which requires a minimum of work to get into the air, at an economy price. It even has the pushrods installed and attached to the control horns. A 600 type motor is bolted to the nose former, and a folding prop and spinner are already fitted. all you need to do is add your speed controller and battery pack, and instal your radio gear.
Several points are worth making. First, you should use a 7-cell battery pack. The instructions specify a 6-cell pack, but performance is much better on 7 cells. Secondly, a little more downthrust is needed. The Albatross tends to nose up under power. Pack the motor holding bolts with a washer at the bottom to tilt the motor downwards a little - and make sure that you have plenty of down elevator travel to compensate for nose up. Thirdly, the fuselage is made from a blow moulded polypropylene plastic like milk bottles. To repair a wrinkle, heat it with a heat gun and push it back into shape. Altogether a very successful beginners kit. It does thermal well; a friend was very excited recently to achieve a 25 minute flight in standard configuration.
