If you are serious about flying electric powered aircraft you must employ some instrument to measure your volts, amps and watts. If you do not have this facility you are working in the dark. You need to be able to make decisions about prop size and battery voltage related to amps. There are several possibilities:

The Emeter is very popular because of all the functions available in one unit - but it is currently unavailable. I have a list of over 40 people waiting for one, but there is no indication of when it will be available again. In the meantime, the other two options above are available.
